How to Measure Your Vehicle
We’ve measured many of the most common van-based MPVs. If your vehicle isn’t listed yet, or if you are unsure if “Schlofe” will really fit in your car, you can check by using this quick guide.
All you need is a ruler or tape measure and a relatively empty vehicle.
1. Fold Down the Seats
First, fold down the back seats.
Then slide the driver’s and passenger’s seats all the way to the front and fold them down or adjust the backrests so they lean as far forward as possible.
If possible, pump up the front seats as well, to create the maximum amount of space in your vehicle.
2. Measure the Length
At a height of 40 to 60 cm from the trunk floor (or so that the ruler goes over the back seats), see if you have at least 200 cm between the closed trunk and the front seats.
3. Measure the Width
Measure the width of your vehicle interior. You need at least 112 cm for the bed frame to fit.
4. Check the Center Console
Depending on your vehicle's features and add-ons, the center console can vary in size. Please check whether you have enough space in the footwell behind the console for the stabilizer plate. The console must not protrude more than 28 cm from the edge of the bed frame. There must still be enough space to slide the stabilizer plate between the folded-down back seats and the center console.
Send us your pictures!
Two heads are better than one: Feel free to send us pictures of your car with the seats folded down along with the measurements you took at [email protected]. We can assess whether the bed will fit in your vehicle.
Or, you can schedule a free consultation at one of our showrooms, where you can try out the bed directly in your car. We look forward to your visit!
